We at the Park City Dental Clinic love children. We try and make things as smooth as possible for the little ones and we have different options for treating them. Our main goal is to make the whole process as smooth as possible and not to traumatize the child in regards to dentistry. Dental fillings are essentially the basic way of maintaining and preserving ones’ teeth when the tooth structure has been damaged by caries process or other issues. They can be either cosmetic or therapeutic. Dental fillings come in a variety of materials. Mainly they are decided upon and used based on the nature of the decay and position of the tooth and of course the preference of the patient. Dentures are prosthetics which replace missing teeth. They can either be partial denture or complete dentures. Partial dentures are used where a few teeth are missing out of the full complement. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing. The dentures can be either on their own or paired with implants for extra retention. If you are missing some or all your teeth do drop in and we can discuss and see which would be most suitable for you.
Crowns are caps for teeth to be put simply. They are a unibody structure used when there are issues such as breakage or multiple restorations or large cracks. Crowns are made of different materials and each has its advantages and prices. It is one of the best ways to preserve teeth which are broken or in the process of breaking down. Bridges/bridge is a fixed dental prosthesis. It is essentially a group of crowns joined together to replace a missing tooth/teeth. In a bridge the teeth adjacent to the missing tooth/teeth are taken as support and the missing tooth replaced. It is a fixed prosthesis so no issues of taking it out every moment to clean and maintain. It is a very good alternative to implants when implants are not feasible either due to the local oral conditions or due to the price. Seniors need more if not the same care as young people when it comes to their dental needs. As we age we do have issues with our dexterity which tends to show on our dental health as well. We have experienced staff at our clinic who deal with seniors as a fair amount of our clientele are seniors. Hence we do have a fair amount of experience in this area.
